Australian Rankings

The following rankings are unofficial and represent the opinions of our site (for the official Australian rankings, follow the link to the Australian National Boxing Federation rankings). The official ANBF title has been used as a stepping-stone for upcoming Australian boxers rather than recognising the best boxer in Australia. This has created a system where the best boxers in Australia do not fight the best, but rather attempt to gain a top ten ranking and then fight for a vacant title. The addition of the “Australasian” title by the ANBF, a title that is confusing in that it’s name suggests a regional title but it is in fact a lower title than the national title, makes the current Australian rankings a confusing state. Our rankings system hopes to create a reliable, independent set of Australian rankings that removes the confusion and encourages quality domestic matchups.
