Mick King



Mick King won the Australian and British Empire middleweight titles in 1914 and briefly claimed the middleweight championship of the world later that year with a decision win over American Jeff Smith in Sydney. King was defeated in subsequent fights with Smith, both by decision, before surrendering his Australian and British Empire titles to Les Darcy in June, 1915. King fought the second half of his career in the United States and Canada and retired after a reported 80 professional bouts in 1920.
